I think this is a garter snake out for the sun on a warm November 2nd. it was crossing the street to the neighbor’s house where they’ve seen a couple of other garters this past summer, as usual. Quite a late sighting and my neighbor (since 1979) and I reminisced about various snake happenings over the years. we decided to share the probable Last Snake of the Year claim!
