Notes:
This specimen appears initially to be a typical P. obsoletus "lindheimeri" despite the dusky longitudinal stripes evident along the lateral edges of the dorsal blotches (both "species" occur in the area). Dorsal blotches (head + tail) = 39 (high for lindheimeri; below range for bairdi). Length of dorsal blotches at midbody = 3.5 - 4 scales (compared to 2 -3 for a bairdi from Edwards Co. and 6 - 7 for a lindheimeri from Atascosa Co.). Possibly indicating some degree of hybridization.
