was under a metal sheet. Stayed coiled, only flicking its tongue, until I tried to move around it to get a photo from a different angle. Then it tried to go down a hole under the sheet (shown in second photo), but it appeared to be too big to fit. Next it slithered over to the nearby bushes to hide. The only time it even rattled a little bit was when I spooked it by setting down the metal sheet. The weather was sunny and warm with some notable gusts of wind. There was a misty marine layer in the morning. It was mostly cloudy for the two days before, sunny three days before, and rainy and completely cloudy before that. The temperature under the metal was 75.9 degrees F and the humidity was 44.9% RH.
