Racerunners are actually fairly common in one area in Wilkes County, even though I have very few photos of them. I have seen better than two dozen this year but this was the first photo I managed to get. In the past, they were always out in the open, scattering all over the place. Now, I only find them in an area that is full of rocks, so they disappear before I can get a camera ready. I don’t know what has changed but their numbers have been reduced drastically from what they were 20 years ago.
