There’s always the possibility that some of these I am finding are Blue Ridge Two-lined salamanders. Some have stripes that break up part way down the tail, some don’t have complete stripes, and some do have complete, unbroken stripes that run the full length of the tail. I also am in an area that is on the border of both species range. However, I am along the Yadkin River at around 1000’ in elevation and we tend to not find many of the species found higher in the Blue Ridge.
