Called to report of snake in back yard near house. Upon arrival, found a Cottonmouth under bottom step to patio. Captured snake and placed in transport container. Physical exam revealed a 28 inch, 24.7 ounces snake, no signs of injury or illness, eyes clear, followed movement with each eye, no signs of pre-shed. snake was transported to protected area and released without incident.
