Called to investigate sighting of snake out basking amid patches of melting snow. Snake was observed basking near foundation of private residence and was observed returning to nearby rodent burrow after about 15 minutes of observation. Snake was first noticed around 11am by homeowner and not observed by me until nearly 2pm. Recorded air Temp at time of sighting18F, 31F ground temp was the same as snake and taken with an infrared thermometer.
